NEW PROJECTS BEFORE 2012 FIESTA CELEBRATION
Among the new projects which were intentionally finished before the Annual Town Fiesta Celebration were the Baywalk along the port area and the newly renovated Public Market. I was one of the living witness during the blessing of the Public Market which is nicely made and vendors are properly arranged according to the type of product they are selling. The rotten wooden structures were replaced with angle bars and metal colored roofing to make them much durable than before. The air freely passes through the entire building since it is situated besides the baywalk and the port area that makes marketinng in the new public market a very comfortable one. The following pictures shown portray the story during the official opening of the public market last August 10, one day prior to the opening of the Agri-fair;
Another project which serves as a landmark of Palconit's administration is the baywalk which this year served as the venue for the "Concert at the Bay" featuring local talents and previous winners of Calubian Idols. This activity was held last August 13. Different bands in different ages showed at the Bay and share their talents to Calubianons who enjoyed the night. Another event which was held at the night of August 17th at the Baywalk was the Rayhak, a disco of all ages hosted Mr Kokoy Ricaldo and Mr Dongdong Pacheco. Parlor games were done such as tuba drinking contest and others to make the night more enjoyable and unforgettable.
